About the artist

Michelle is a graduating senior in the College of Creative Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Originally from San Jose, California, she currently lives in the small beach community, Isla Vista. Michelle mainly uses acrylic paint to create large abstract paintings. She cuts out figures in her design work to emphasize the line and shape of the figure itself, while also overlaying them to create an ambiguous push and pull effect.
